So my friend, Joanna, and I went to Portland last night and spent the night in Hillsboro, Oregon and the totally awesome Courtyard by Marriott hotel. We left Richland about 5:30 p.m. and had a BLAST! We talked and laughed and listened to just about the best songs on Joanna's CD's that she had created for our adventure. We got to Hillsboro by 8:30 and then decided to check out the city. We drove all over that place and I wish we had had more time to shop and go to all the cool little stores, but we did end up and a little known coffee shop, Starbucks. We indulged ourselves in the delights that Starbucks has to offer, I prefer a Nonfat Peppermint Hot Chocolate with no whipped cream on top, However, I was feeling on the edge, so I decided to have it WITH whipped cream. We painted the town red until 10 p.m. and then off to our room for the night. We laughed and watched some interesting t.v. shows on the cable t.v. and actually stayed up until 2 a.m. because we had ended up watching the top 40 music videos of 2007 on VH1. I had no trouble staying up so late, but it could have been that I had had a Full Throttle Blue Demon Energy Drink on the way to Portland. We woke up and then went to JAMBA JUICE for a yummy breakfast. I hadn't had Jamba for years, but it was just as I had remembered it, D-LICIOUS! Anyhoo, then we went to go pick out a puppy. When we got there it turned out that their were only two dogs left, but they weren't the coloring that Brandon had wanted (and when you read HIS blog, you will discover that he makes it out to be that the whole puppy thing was ALL my idea, but in reality he wanted one just as bad, if not more!). But, they had some couple week old puppies that we could choose and then come back in a month or so and pick it up. I looked through the litters and I fell in love with this one and she was the coloring we wanted and best of all, a GIRL! So, we will have to go back in a month and pick her, Daisy, up. Enjoy the pics below. I am actually quite exhausted right now after driving so much the past 24 hours with little sleep the past two days, but we are thrilled over our decision to wait until we could get exactly what we wanted, even though we have to wait a little bit. Enjoy the pics below of our new puppy.
