BYU football

Ok, I hope to not cause any problems in my family with this post, but I just have to say it. Some of you may know that BYU football has started, to you others - you probably just don't care. In my home, BYU football is the only thing that exists, but guess what? I HATE it! Don't get me wrong, I do like to go to the games and there is nothing like a crisp fall morning in Provo stadium with all the Cougar fans cheering, the energy is just swarming through the air and everyone is having a great time. I love it when they are winning. The fans are so supportive and of course, the nasty UTE's have nothing on our COUGS! But, when the cougs are losing... that is when I start to think, "what is this really worth?" My husband gets all upset, I feel bad that they have lost and ruined his day. My dad will call him and they will discuss what happened and went right or wrong. This is great that my dad has someone that actually loves BYU football as much (if not more) as he does. Now, when we lived in Orem, it wasn't just my husband that's in a fowl mood, it's the whole town. But it gets better, not only have you sat through sun, rain, snow, or lightning for 3 - 5 hours, THEN you have to listen to the after-game call-in show on the radio, KSL. I know that there is a BYU football game going on right now and by the yells I am hearing from the other room ('that's bull' or 'FOUL!' or 'gggrrrrrr'), I am thinking the game isn't going so well. Why do we have to get so worked up? This is just something I will never understand. I do love BYU football and I love watching and going to their games, I just hate it when they lose and the affect it has on people. If you only learn one thing from this blog, take this with you, from personal experience a BYU fan, hates to hear "It's just a game" when their team loses...

You may not enjoy football yet, but I have brought you a long way over the years, and I will make you a true fan in time. Anyway thanks for letting me watch and enjoy the games.
