I have finally given in to all the people around me that are blogging. I chose my title "One Day At A Time" because that is how I live my life. I sometimes feel that I have too many trials around me, but if I just take it a day at a time, I can get through anything. Then my little quote below the title, "Happiness is not a destination. It is a method of life." I try to have happiness with me always. I can remember in Junior High School, I would always come home with no good things to say about anything or anybody. I wouldn't smile or have any happy thought. I guess my mom had gotten tired of it, because she finally made me start telling her five good things that had happened to me that day. I have to say, it was hard at first. I would have a difficult time thinking up things to say. Soon it became easier and easier to think of good things. I think that that was probably one of the turning points to making me a happy person.
I try everyday to help everyone around me. I especially try with Brandon. Brandon can get so down on himself, but we work together and bring ourselves closer to each other. I am so grateful for my husband and all the happiness he bring me. We are so lucky to have each other and I can't imagine a day without him!
We have been listening to General Conference all weekend, and shockingly enough, I can't think of a single talk that didn't apply to me. I have been feeling so alone the past couple weeks and this weekend has uplifted me and strengthened my spirit. I am so excited to start this week with a stronger feeling in my heart that everything will be okay. We were not able to go to the Temple this past week, but we are really wanting (and needing) to go this week. I am really looking forward to it!
